NHL – FREE PLAY: Sharks (29) vs. Mammoth (30)

If you’re into chaos, defensive breakdowns, and goalies questioning their life choices, this one’s for you. San Jose heads into Utah and, honestly, it’s hard to find a reason not to like the Over 6 here.

The Sharks have been a turnstile defensively all season — giving up over three goals a night and making even average offenses look like the ’80s Oilers. Utah, meanwhile, isn’t shy about pushing the pace. They hung four goals in one period on San Jose during preseason and dropped four again in their regular-season matchup that ended 4-3. When these two meet, it’s less about “who will win” and more about “how many red lights can we burn out behind the nets.”

Utah’s got legit scoring depth and home-ice energy, and San Jose’s defense tends to disappear on the road faster than a beer in the third period. Add in some shaky goaltending on both sides and you’ve got all the makings of another wide-open, back-and-forth game that easily sneaks into 7-goal territory.

So yeah — unless both goalies suddenly morph into brick walls overnight, expect pucks flying, goals piling up, and maybe a few angry defensemen wondering what just happened. Sticks may break on crossbars while we celebrate the goal fest!
