NHL – FREE PLAY: Mammoth (15) vs. Sharks (16)

Utah is struggling right now and they roll into San Jose on the second night of B2B games after a deflating 3-2 OT loss to the Anaheim Ducks last night in a game the Mammoth led 2-1 in the 3rd Period but the Ducks tied the game in the final seconds of regulation and then won it in OT. This is a tough spot for Utah who have only won twice in their last 9 games and both wins were against the Buffalo Sabres not exactly one of the NHL juggernauts. San Jose has cooled off with two straight losses to end their recent road trip after winning six of seven games before that but the Sharks deserved a better fate against the Seattle Kraken in their last game outshooting them despite the loss. San Jose returns home where they have won four of their last five games. The home underdog is live in this game IMO and I’ll take San Jose to get the win tonight against a Utah squad that has dropped four straight on the road.
