NFL – FREE PLAY: Vikings (461) vs. Lions (462)

We CRUSH THE BOOKS in the NFL on Sunday with my NFC GAME OF THE WEEK, AFC GAME OF THE WEEK, HIGH ROLLER, and LATE BAILOUT.

The big news this week is ex-Michigan Wolverine stars, JJ McCarthy and Aidan Hutchinson are going to be on the field together. The bad news for McCarthy, is Hutchinson will be lining across from him. Yes, quarterback JJ McCarthy is making his return, taking the helm for the Minnesota Vikings here. This is a team that sits in last place in the NFC North at 3-4 overall, losing and failing to cover their last two outings. Offensively, this team is accounting for only 22.1 PPG, and have committed 12 turnovers already. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions, who are at 5-2 overall on the season, both straight up and against the spread, have started to stride. They have won and covered five of their last six outings, including all three games played on their own field during that span. Yes, they possess an offense that is one of the best in football. (Put a pin in that will come back around to it). But their defense has been outstanding, one of the best against the rush, and only allowing 21.6 PPG. They come off their best defensive performance this season, holding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to just nine-points. By the way, this team had an extra few days to rest, heal, and prepare for this matchup. Let’s talk about their offense. Statistically, they are near flawless. They rank amongst the best in the NFL in scoring, averaging over 30.7 PPG. They are equally good in the air as they are on the ground, and they commit very few turnovers. To be quite honest, there is no love lost between these two conference rivals. To say the Lions have had their way with the Vikings, would be an understatement. They have taken five consecutive meetings in this rivalry, straight up and against the spread. As far as betting goes, believe it or not they have covered nine straight games against Minnesota. If this line would’ve been a little bit lower, I would have released it as a premium play. But I still like it, my friends. Take the Detroit Lions. Thank you.
