NFL – FREE PLAY: Packers (471) vs. Cardinals (472)

For as tumultuous of a season as it has been for the Arizona Cardinals, this pointspread does offer some value on the home underdog Cardinals as they welcome in the Green Bay Packers. Arizona has struggled to win games and win close games but they have had very little difficulty remaining competitive in the majority of their games. All six of Arizona’s games have been decided by a TD or less and even though they are on a four game losing streak, those losses were by a combined 9 points and three of those games were against San Francisco, Seattle and Indianapolis. Arizona’s offense was sputtering with QB Kyler Murray before his injury but veteran QB Jacoby Brissett gave the Cards passing game a spark as he torched a very good Indianapolis Colts team through the air putting up 27 points against one of the better teams so far this season in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers are the better team but they are banged up with two key defenders missing for this game in LB Lukas Van Ness and DL Devonte Wyatt and the Packers continue to show vulnerabilty on the road where they have lost outright as road favorites to Cleveland and had to settle for a tie in Dallas going 0-2 ATS in those two previous road games as favorites. Green Bay had their flight departure to Arizona for this game on Saturday significantly delayed pushing their arrival for this game back a bit and that certainly won’t help the cause for the Packers. At 2-4 on the season, this becomes a make or break game for Arizona. I expect the Cardinals to bring their best and for it to be enough to extend the streak of one score games in Arizona games to seven.
