This is a play on the SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS for our NFL Thursday Primetime. We liked this line on Tuesday and we waited to release thinking of more of a line move and we got it as we have added more value. This number opened at 3.5 and went to 4.5 pretty quick based on the Brock Purdy news and then it went up to 5.5. and as of Tuesday night, it made it to 6.5 across the board. Mac Jones will get the start and as mentioned on one of our podcasts, he is not that much of a downgrade from Purdy and a lot of that is system related under head coach Kyle Shanahan as he works around the quarterback. Some will point to the Jacksonville loss last week but San Francisco outgained the Jaguars 389-325 but lost the turnover battle 4-0 while Jacksonville also returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown and it was still a game. When looking at overall numbers through the first four games. the 49ers are averaging only 20 ypg less on offense than the Rams (368.0 vs. 388.3) while the defensive averages are nearly identical at 280.5 ypg for San Francisco and 284.5 for Los Angeles. Here, we play against home teams outgaining their opponents by 1.75 or more passing ypa, after gaining 8 or more passing ypa last game. This situation is 20-10 (66.7 percent) since 2021 with the scoring differential just 0.3 ppg over those 30 games. 10* (301) San Francisco 49ers
