Sun Belt action heats up in Lafayette on Saturday as the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana battle the Marshall Thundering Herd.
The headline of this matchup will certainly be the fact that this is the rematch of last year’s Sun Belt Conference Title game, in which Marshall crushed Louisiana 42-28, mainly due to key injuries for the Cajuns late in the year.
While off back-to-back losses with their backup QB starting once again, Louisiana has a very strong running attack, led by backs Zylan Perry & Bill Davis, who each rushed for over 100 yards in last week’s loss to Eastern Michigan.
Marshall is still in a rebuilding mode with over 70 new players, and they have won their last two games, albeit over weak competition like Middle Tennessee State and FCS foe Eastern Kentucky.
