The pointspread tax with the defending national champion Florida Gators has been in full effect so far this season in College Basketball. Florida is 0-2 ATS this season with their loss to Arizona and a non-covering win against North Florida in their last game which clearly illustrates there are no bargains anymore to bet on the Florida Gators. Florida has a very strong frontcourt but their guard play has some concerns after losing their entire starting backcourt from last year’s national championship winning team. Florida State is playing a much faster transition based pace and tempo this season under first year head coach and former FSU player Luke Loucks and it should suit them fine to play at the pace that Florida does. The Seminoles have admittedly not been tested yet like they will be tonight but they are 2-0 ATS in their first two games despite facing weaker competition and Florida State is the superior free throw shooting team so far this season with the Noles connecting at 76% from the free throw line and the Gators just 65% from the free throw line. I think this is a few too many points and I will bet Florida State to stay within this massive double digit price.
