Toronto +158
I am going to give the Toronto Blue Jays a shot here to avoid the sweep as +158 road underdogs this afternoon in the series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. You can make a great case that the Blue Jays are sending their best starting pitcher to the mound for this game in lefty Eric Lauer who has been terrific. Lauer has given up just 8 runs in his last 5 starts which is over a span of 29 innings pitched and the Jays have a winning record of 3-2 in those games. After facing a couple righties in the first two games of this series, I could see the Dodgers bats being in for a tougher time today. It may not be easy for the Jays against Tyler Glasnow who has looked sharp since rejoining the LA rotation but after facing a pair of lefties, this could be a good opportunity for Toronto’s power bats to get going. The one area Glasnow has had problems is the home run ball as he has surrendered 4 home runs in his last 3 starts. There is value with the Blue Jays in this spot at this price and I am taking it.
