The Montreal Alouettes are still alive in their quest to win the East Division after Hamilton’s loss to Calgary on Saturday. That makes this game more meaningful for the double digit home favorite. The spot is also a good one for the Alouettes as they will be rested and ready off a bye week. Montreal should be ready to dominate a horrific and reeling Ottawa Redblacks squad which is playing out the string of what has been a dismal and disappointing season in which they will fail to make the playoffs. Montreal has owned this series going 9-1 against Ottawa in the last 10 meetings and five of the last six Montreal wins have been by double digits. Davis Alexander returned at QB for Montreal from an injury stint two weeks ago and there was no rust whatsoever in his game leading the Alouettes to a dominant 38-20 win against Calgary. Montreal has a solid defense but the return of Alexander takes their offense to another level. Montreal throttled Ottawa 39-18 back in Week 2 when Davis Alexander started that game as well. I expect a Montreal rout here and will lay the big number on Canadian Thanksgiving Monday with the Alouettes.
