Featured Game: Edmonton Elks vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (-6 / 56)
Time: 7:00 pm ET / 4:00 pm PT
Edmonton is 7-1 ATS in the 8 games they have played since Cody Fajardo took over at QB with all but one of those games being either an Edmonton Elks win or a loss by 4 points or less. Hamilton is playing well off B2B wins against Montreal and Winnipeg and it was an emotional environment at Hamilton Stadium last Friday night with the Ticats playing with heavy hearts for their deceased GM Ted Goveia who passed away due to cancer the night before last week’s game. The Ticats controlled the game throughout against the Blue Bombers and yes the defense was good but the defense still is a concern for me because the Hamilton defense got to face Chris Streveler and James Morgan at QB in B2B weeks against Winnipeg and Montreal making the defense possibly look better than they really are. I think Hamilton’s defense is in for a much tougher test here against Cody Fajardo and the Edmonton offense. I am concerned about some of the Edmonton injuries on defense but in spite of that, I think Edmonton’s offense is good enough to keep this in this game throughout to challenge for the outright win. We may get a minor emotional letdown and hangover from Hamilton here after last Friday’s win against Winnipeg which took place the night after the beloved Ticats General Manager passed away.
Pick: Edmonton +6 -110
