Featured Match-up: Milwaukee Brewers (-120, 8.5 over -115) vs. Texas Rangers

Time: 8:05 pm ET / 5:05 pm PT

Television: MLB.tv, FDSN (Wisconsin), RSN (Texas)

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a weekend sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates, with a step up in competition on the horizon. The Pirates held just one lead the entire series—and that came in Game One (2–1).

The Brewers outscored Pittsburgh 19–5 and have now allowed just 10 runs over their last five games.

Tonight, they’ll send José Quintana (11–5, 3.72 ERA) to the hill against Jacob Latz (1–0, 3.15 ERA) for the Rangers.

Milwaukee has leaned on its pitching all season long, and tonight will be no different behind Quintana, who’s looking to bounce back from a couple of shaky starts against the Phillies and Diamondbacks (1–1, 10 IP, 12 H, 9 ER, 7 BB, 8 K, 1 HR). The Brew Crew are counting on their starters to go deep, especially with a bullpen dealing with multiple injuries—including to closer Trevor Megill (30 saves). Fortunately, they were able to rest their front-line arms over the weekend, leaving them with fresh relievers tonight.

The Rangers are coming off a massive series win against the Houston Astros and now trail the ‘Stros by four games for the AL West lead with 15 to play.

Since May 8, Latz hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs in any appearance. Over that span, the lefty is 1–0 with a 2.98 ERA, with 19 of his last 23 outings coming in relief. At best, we can expect five innings from Latz.

The Rangers have been one of the best under teams in baseball, with 79 unders in 142 decisions (.556), plus two pushes. Their under numbers improve at Globe Life, where they’re 45–26–1 (+1514 units) in 2025. Only the Kansas City Royals have been better at 48–27 (+1718). Over the last two seasons, Texas is 91–59–3 (+2548 units) at home, with only the Braves producing more profit (+3026).

Pick: Under 8.5 (-105)
