It’s a battle of “Bad Meets Worse” on Saturday afternoon in Reno as the Nevada Wolfpack host the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State.
MTSU heads into the Silver State with a pair of blowout losses, one to Wisconsin last week and the week prior, a 20-point defeat against FCS club Austin Peay, where the Blue Raiders gained a total of 38 yards rushing in the two contests.
Nevada-Reno picked up a 20-17 win over top FCS squad Sacramento State last week after a blowout loss at Penn State to open the year. The Wolfpack defense is their stronger unit and with an opponent that has failed to cover in 12 of their last 14 games lining up across from them, this is a spot where the home side should be able to get a Double-Digit victory and cover the number.
