Featured Match-up: New York Yankees (-114/8.5 over -120) vs. Boston Red Sox
The Yankees and Red Sox are separated by a half-game for the top Wild Card spot in the American League and both are still within striking distance of Toronto in the division. Boston is back home following a 3-3 road trip where it remains a game under .500 but comes in with a 44-28 record at Fenway Park with a day off in hand to give them the bullpen edge. Lucas Giolito has quietly had a great season in the shadow of Garrett Crochet as he has a 3.38 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 23 starts, 14 of which have been quality outings. Boston is 8-2 in his 10 home starts. The Yankees lost their series against Detroit to conclude a 3-3 homestand and are now three games behind the Blue Jays in the American League East. The road has not been great where they are two games over .500 but at -8.3 units and while this is a reasonable price, they should not be favored here. Luis Gil got back into the rotation in August and opened with a poor outing but he has been great since with a 2.32 ERA over his last six starts and he will be a huge asset come playoff time but we fade him on the road. The Red Sox have been excellent against the top teams in baseball as they are 15-3 against teams outscoring opponents by 0.5 or more rpg this season.
Play: Boston Red Sox -104
