The Dodgers once comfortable lead in the National League West is now just 2.0-games. My point being, Los Angeles needs every win they can get at the moment. There isn’t a lot of baseball left in the regular season, and the Dodgers must make the most of it. To say they’ve dominated the Rockies, would be an understatement. Los Angeles has taken eight of the last 10 meetings, which does include Games 1 and 2 of this series. Overall, this season, they have outscored their division rival, by a combined 75-45. What can you say about the Colorado Rockies… they own the worst record in all of baseball, at 40-105. They rank 29th in scoring and 30th in team ERA. Speaking of which, today starters are scheduled to be Kyle Freeland and Blake Snell. The Colorado left-hander is 4-14 with a whopping ERA of 5.10 this season. Over his career, he has not fared well against Los Angeles, going 5-11 with a 4.80 ERA in 25 starts against them. The Dodgers left-hander is just 3-4 on the season, but does own a very respectable ERA of 3.19. He comes off a tough outing in his last appearance, giving up quite a few hits, and quite a few runs. That’s why I feel he will bounce back here. In 13 lifetime starts against Colorado, is 3-2 with a 3.30 ERA. On the road, his numbers are ugly. However, at home this season he is a very, very solid 3-1 with an anemic ERA of 1.78. The Dodgers bats will be all over the deplorable Rockies pitching staff, while Snell gets a nice bounce back victory here, and gives the team one more needed win. Take the Los Angeles Dodgers on the run line. Thank you.
