Last October’s matchup was an exciting one. A tipped pass on a Hail Mary resulted in a game winning touchdown for the Commanders. Going back a bit, they have taken nine of the last 11 meetings with the Bears straight up. But over the last six years, Chicago has taken two meetings played on the road. Having said that, the Bears have had an extra week off to rest and prepare following their back-to-back victories at home against the Cowboys, then on the road against the Raiders. Washington has alternated wins and losses since the season opener. They have taken down New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers, winning and covering both games played at home. However, they did lose and failed to cover both road games at the hands of Green Bay and Atlanta. Having said all that, Chicago fans are excited that they went from 0-2 to 2-2. But beating the likes of the Cowboys and the Raiders, is a little suspect. We don’t really know how good this team is. Many people will think that having an off week would benefit a team. But maybe the bye came at a very bad time as it may have broken their momentum. You’ve got two second-year quarterbacks in this matchup, and neither passing game has been impressive. Big difference here is the rushing attack of the home team, Washington Commanders. They ranked second in the NFL accounting for over 156.4 yards per game on the ground. They also turn the ball over a little bit less. Despite Chicago possessing a defense that his snagged seven takeaways already, the team is still getting plowed for over 29.3 points per game. They are getting absolutely crushed on the ground, ranking 31st in yards allowed per game to the run. That’s where this game is going to be won, my friends. You’re going to see the Washington Commanders rushing attack absolutely control the tempo and the clock of this game, and allow their passing game to open up. I just don’t see the Bears putting up too much of a fight against the commanders running game. Take Washington. Thank you.
