I am laying the points with Nebraska. Both offenses score when they get into the red zone. Nebraska has scored on 79% of its trips into the red zone, while Michigan State is scoring at 94% of its trips into the red zone. The problem for Sparty is getting into the red zone to begin with. This game will be a matchup of strengths against weaknesses. Michigan State’s passing defense is the worst in the Big Ten Conference, while Nebraska’s passing offense is No. 2 in the entire country. Both teams are coming off a bye week, but only Nebraska is healthy. Michigan State announced that their starting left tackle will be out for a month, and they’re missing depth at linebacker. USC and Boston College were able to pick apart the Spartans’ secondary, and I see that happening today. Michigan State’s defense, already filled with holes when fully healthy, may still be dealing with injuries by kickoff, even with the extra rest.
Play. Nebraska -11.5 points -110
