This is a play on the LOS ANGELES ANGELS for our Tuesday Free Play. The final week of the regular season presents value going against teams that need to win to keep playoff hopes alive or for playoff positioning. Kansas City is one of those teams that remains alive for a playoff spot but the Royals have to win out and hope for everything to go their way as they have less than a one percent chance to play past this week. Kansas City closed its home schedule 43-38 and hit the road where they are five games under .500. Cole Ragans missed three and a half months with a rotator cuff injury and made his first start last week as he went 3.2 innings and labored after striking out the side in the first inning. He threw 62 pitches and will be limited again. The Angeles are coming off a brutal roadtrip where they went 1-9 to finish 33-48 on the road and are back home for their final six games sitting one game under .500. Sam Aldegheri was called up from Triple-A and will be making his first start of the season as he made two relief appearances in July. He has excelled since the All-Star break while pitching out of the rotations for Salt Lake and Rocket City, posting a 2.43 ERA and 1.04 WHIP to go with a 44:15 K:BB ratio in 55.2 innings. Great value spot.
