This is a play on the KANSAS CITY ROYALS for our Wednesday Free Play. Seattle has won 10 straight games to overtake Houston in the American League West by a half-game. The offense has been getting it done with offense and pitching and while the run has been solid, it has mostly been at home and the Mariners are six games under .500 on the road. Overall, Seattle is just 33-37 when the number is between +125 and -125. Bryce Miller has not been close to 100 percent as he started slow and went on the IL with elbow inflammation and was out for over two months and his return has not been good. He has a 5.33 ERA in five starts and in eight road starts overall, he has a 5.58 ERA. Kansas City will not be going back to the postseason as it has dropped seven of its last nine games to fall one game under .500 and the Royals are 7.5 games out of the final Wild Card spot. They are coming off a 10-5 loss to open the homestand where they are 40-36 with five games left here to play spoiler with two against Seattle and three against Toronto. Cole Ragans is back for his first start since June 5 after a long IL stint and he made a couple solid rehab starts. He will not be fully stretched out, limited to 70-80 pitches but he is a solid arm to bring back for a couple season ending starts.
